It's Time To Get Out Of The House!

HUNTING FISHING OUTDOOR FUN FRIENDS OF THE GREAT OUTDOORSMEN

Don't Be Afraid Of The Big Bad Wolf

A lesson to all, when camping always check your shoes, cot, sleeping bag, tent walls etc as you may have a visitor waiting for you. Yes this little bugger, a Wolf Spider, was about to make his home in my hair as I was laying down on my cot. I just happened to see a strange spot out of the corner of my eye and stood back up only to be looking into the eyes of the beast. Wolf spiders are not poisonous but sure look evil. You can find them almost anywhere except in a web as they do not spin them. The move around at night looking for food and if confronted will run away. Don't confuse these lovable shy spiders with the poisonous Brown Recluse which has a distinct violin shape on its back. Wolf spiders can grow to about 2 inch's in length and although not poisonous there bite can still cause bad reactions in some victims. If you are luck to see a mother after her egg sac hatches (which they carry around with them) you will see all the little babies riding on her back until the grow big enough to leave her safely.

Alaska, if you ain't been there then go. Thanks Russia.

Years ago Mr. Magabagoo and I ventured out to roam Alaska. We only had time to spend 2 weeks which is not even close to being long enough but we were still able to do alot. Enjoy the photos, I am sure they will inspire you to start planning now.
